7 Companies That Are Hiring Remote Workers for the Holidays Right Now

The holiday season is—if you can believe it—nearly upon us. If you’re looking to find some seasonal work to help alleviate some of the financial stress associated with this time of year (and in general because 2020 has been a rough one), the time to look and apply for jobs is now. 

To help you get started on your search, FlexJobs has released a list of 13 companies hiring remote seasonal and holiday workers. We’ve highlighted a handful of those companies and open positions below to make the job hunting process a little less stressful.

The Seattle, Washington-based online retail giant is hiring seasonal workers to help with the anticipated increase in orders during the holiday season. Recent remote seasonal job openings include Workflow Analyst (making call volume adjustments while ensuring service level goals are met) and HR Contact Center Manager (overseeing a team of associates and processing absence claims related to COVID).

The Medford, Oregon-based purveyor of gift baskets filled with fruit, chocolate, cheese, baked goods, wine, and more maintains a staff of 2,500 permanent team members and more than 8,000 seasonal employees, according to FlexJobs. They have openings for Call Center Agents, who help customers place orders and navigate the Harry & David website, as well as answer product questions.

Minted sells a variety of customizable paper products—from stationary to holiday cards and wedding invitations—all featuring creative content from a global network of artists. They’re hiring Customer Service Representatives to answer calls, emails, and live chats from customers, and looking for candidates with at least one year of experience working with customers.

Modsy is an online interior design service that helps homeowners, renters, and remodelers redesign their space with 3D custom design plans. They’re hiring a Seasonal Order Management Representative to handle merchandising order processing, offer customer support, and respond to questions relating to orders. Previous purchasing and data entry experience is required.

This Lake Forest, Illinois-based company specializes in premium popcorn products and is part of the 1-800-Flowers network of brands. Open seasonal positions include Corporate Sales Representative (selling and servicing new and existing accounts) and Corporate Sales and Service Phone Specialist (answering customer inquiries and processing orders).

The nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the work of independent storytellers is hiring for several remote positions. These include Festival Coordinator, Marketing (creating marketing assets, managing catalog deliverables, etc.), Editor (editing written content), and Festival Coordinator, Signage and Environmental Graphics (produce branded signage and graphics).

The specialty retailer of quality home products is hiring remote Customer Service Agents to assist customers with everything from placing orders and facilitating returns to locating products and scheduling deliveries. Customer service experience is required.
