This New IKEA Storage Collection Looks So Expensive, It’ll Have You Saying “BILLY Who?
It isn’t every day that I spot new furniture at IKEA, much less really cute new furniture. But last week, I stumbled upon a super-chic new arrival — not only is it stylish, but it also has storage. What more could I ask for?
Introducing GULDDRAGARE, a gorgeous new customizable line of storage furniture IKEA is offering. This is one of the latest collections to drop, (and don’t tell the other recent releases, but this one might just be my favorite).
What Is the IKEA GULDDRAGARE Collection?
Currently, the GULDDRAGARE collection includes six different pre-made storage configurations to choose from, or you can customize your own using the individual add-on GULDDRAGARE parts. From open shelves and drawers to cabinets, and glass doors, the GULDDRAGARE system probably has the solution; it’s the ideal piece for books, games, throw blankets, dinnerware — you name it!
Packed with storage, these GULDDRAGARE pieces look great, too. The open shelves and doors are BILLY-esque but slightly more sophisticated (think: elegant tapered legs and a stylish beige finish. As if it couldn’t get any more chic, the smooth satin brass knobs take the whole piece to another level IMO.
What We Love About GULDDRAGARE
This collection is a whole new look for IKEA, and I’m loving how on-trend it is. But another thing that makes GULDDRAGARE unique is that the units actually attach to the wall, making it extra sleek — and extra safe. “The assembly itself was very easy, and since everything is mounted directly on the wall, it doesn’t take up much space despite its size,” says one happy customer. “I think the fact that you can see the wallpaper on the wall gives it a more relaxed feel.”
I can’t wait to see what IKEA shoppers do with these pieces next, as they’re perfect for DIYers, too. While I actually love the beige finish, I could also see these being painted to match walls to get that seamless, built-in look. Either way, these pieces are sure to be a fast favorite, if the early reviews are any indication. To add some seriously stylish storage to your kitchen or living room without crowding the space, GULDDRAGARE might just be the perfect choice for you.
