LONDON- MAY 8, 2025: Ikea store on Oxford Street. Landmark new store for the Swedish multinational retailer

IKEA furniture is generally known for its affordable prices and modern silhouettes. But lately it seems like IKEA’s been taking inspiration from more traditional-leaning furniture trends, and I’m absolutely obsessed with these new vintage-inspired pieces. The recent FÅGELFJÄLLET line got my heart racing with its ornate drawer fronts and brass pulls, but IKEA’s latest release might just be my favorite yet.

IKEA just launched the all-new FÄRJKARL furniture line — and for me, it was love at first sight. You’ll forget these pieces are flat-pack furniture; this collection is giving major family heirloom vibes.

What Is IKEA’s FÄRJKARL Series?

The new FÄRJKARL line features three new storage pieces — one open bookshelf and two cabinets — all in a warm off-white shade and with gorgeous brass hardware. The brass even has an antique finish, which adds to the vintage vibe. Just this tiny little detail makes the whole piece feel so much more elevated.

But what I love most about all of these FÄRJKARL pieces is that they’re so versatile! I could see any of these pieces being used for kitchen or dining room storage, just as easily as I could see them storing linens in a bathroom or shoes and purses in a bedroom. Timeless and elegant, these pieces are true IKEA gems — and all of the pieces are under $280. What’s not to love?

What to Buy from IKEA’s FÄRJKARL Series

If you’re looking for any kind of stylish storage piece, look no further! I don’t love the phrase “run, don’t walk,” but I have a feeling this collection is going to be quite popular. Check out IKEA’s newest and chicest furniture collection below.

FÄRJKARL Bookcase
$199

With its long turned legs, this open bookshelf’s silhouette is striking and sophisticated. But the cherry on top is the decorative brass rail. Both the rail and the shelves are adjustable, too; they’re both installed using the same holes. It’s shown here on the top shelf, but you could install it on the middle shelf and use the piece as a bar cabinet, or use it towards the top of the shelf and hang jewelry from it using little S hooks.

FÄRJKARL Glass Door Cabinet
$279

With glass on three sides, this piece is a total showstopper. This glass cabinet would be perfect in a dining room displaying glassware, or in a bedroom displaying your favorite accessories. With this stylish cabinet, you can keep all your favorite pieces on display — without ever having to dust the shelves.

FÄRJKARL Cabinet
$229

This closed cabinet has the same long turned legs and off-white finish. It also features the sweetest, vintage-style brass pulls! This is a great piece for storing more unsightly items, like table linens in the dining room or even shoes in an entryway. The raised panel cabinet doors are gorgeous as well; the level of detail is incredible for an IKEA piece.
