Now that the winter season is setting in, it’s time to turn your attention to your indoor garden. And if your houseplants need a bit of a refresh, there’s a new pot at IKEA that will not only make rootbound plants feel better, but will also instantly improve the look of your space. Bonus: It’s only $12, but could pass as a designer piece from a high-end brand.

The HASSELBUKETT plant pot is a uniquely shaped ceramic vessel with a reactive glaze that shifts color depending on the light. It’s made from a durable stoneware that will withstand the test of time and is even frost-resistant, so you can keep it outdoors (without soil) during the winter. The pot stands under eight inches tall and seven inches wide, so it’s the perfect size to transplant new growth into after an offshoot has rooted and taken off.

If you’re looking for something a bit smaller or lighter in color, the HASSELBUKETT also comes in a dusty pink color for $7.99. This version sits a bit shorter than the green pot, so if you pair them together you’ll have a nice height variation on your plant shelf. Both finishes will nicely complement your greenery, too.

You could also use these as vases for your floral arrangements. If you do decide to use them as planters, it’s important to note that neither of these pots have drainage holes. Make sure you add some pebbles or substrate to the bottom before planting so that your plant doesn’t experience root rot from overwatering.

Your houseplants will be so happy in their new home when you upgrade them to a HASSELBUKETT pot, and you’ll be thrilled with just how beautiful they look.
