IKEA may be best known for the ultra-hackable BILLY bookcase or the classic HEMNES dresser, but don’t underestimate the brand’s storage beds. The Swedish retailer specializes in compact, easy-to-access styles with built-in drawers and storage compartments, most of which skew fairly simple and minimalist. Now, though, IKEA carries an upholstered storage bed that looks so high-end, you’d never guess it came from IKEA in the first place — and it’s now (shockingly!) priced under $300.

IKEA’s beige HAUGA bed features a fully upholstered frame with two retractable storage boxes. Each one measures 38.25 inches wide by 23.25 inches deep, so they’re fairly sizable in terms of storing off-season clothes, extra blankets, towels, purses, or all of the above. They slide out seamlessly, thanks to included castors, too.

Available in both full and queen sizes, the HAUGA silhouette manages to strike a balance between classic and contemporary, thanks to its curved headboard and low-profile frame. The soft shape conveniently references traditionally clean-edged bedroom furniture — like dressers and nightstands — while the muted fabric cover can pair well with any color scheme (there’s also a gray option available in the full size). The frame’s still fairly compact overall, too, which is perfect for accommodating small bedroom layouts.

Comparatively, similar upholstered beds — even without storage — would cost well over $1,000 from other higher-end home stores. You’re likely not getting the same caliber of construction, but IKEA reviewers have raved about the comfort and quality. “Very nice product,” one wrote. “Made the room look neat and classy. Looked at quite a few upholstered beds. Hands-down this one was the nicest.” Another described it as the “perfect height, perfect colour, and perfect size.”

But speaking of pricing, the HAUGA ranges from $319 to $499 in full and queen sizes, respectively. And now through June 9, it’s currently on sale for $279 or $289. Yep, you can officially snag a stylish storage bed for less than $300! Act fast to take advantage of this comfy-meets-convenient bed frame while it’s marked down and still in stock.
