I don’t know about you, but when the weather begins to get warm, it’s as if my surroundings are just as ready as I am for a breezy design makeover. Paul Anderson, home furnishing and retail design leader at IKEA U.S., feels the same way. And after more than two decades of working at IKEA, he says now’s the perfect moment to bring excitement back into your spaces.

“Summer is the time to experiment with color and take some risks,” he says. “I recommend starting small with some accent pieces that are noncommittal so you can experiment and have some fun.”

As 2025 unfolds, and you’re looking ahead at the brighter days right around the corner, Anderson wants to share eight products he thinks will be popular for the rest of year. Heck, they might even sell out — particularly because many are on sale right now until April 21. Read on for his list to get a head start on all your spring and summer decor fun.

$80$55

“This iconic IKEA piece brings so much personality to your backyard or balcony,” Anderson says of this striking armchair. “It’s now available in this season’s popular accent color: bright orange.”

We love it in bright orange and our color of the year, [electric] blue! Shades of green, including this soft, minty shade, are also trending and will be featured in some of our new products this July.”
