I Explored IKEA’s Most Underrated Section and Found This $15 Hidden Gem

By the time I get to the end of an IKEA trip, I often find myself wanting to rush through the checkout lines and head straight to the concession stand for a celebratory cinnamon roll. On a visit to the store last weekend, however, I finally had the stamina to peruse some of those oft-overlooked areas of the store — and I think the IKEA gods rewarded me for my patience (and saved the best finds for last). 

In the grocery section of the store — which, at the Brooklyn location, sits right between the registers and the as-is section — you can generally expect to find such edible classics as frozen meatballs and chocolate moose (no, not a typo … yes, the kind with antlers). But this time, something else caught my eye: Amongst the shelves of pantry staples, I spotted the cutest colorful glassware set. And honestly? It was love at first sight!

My first (and favorite) stop to shop for cute, affordable glassware is *always* IKEA — but with this design, they really went above and beyond any sets I’ve scored before. The new PAPPERSBJÖRK 10-ounce drinking glasses come in a set of four — each in different shades of pink or green. Basically, it’s the set of my pastel dreams. 

With a striking hot pink, light peach, soft mint, and rich aqua, these colorful beauties are perfect for any spring soirée and beyond. Whether for entertaining or just to add a little bit of color and whimsy to your everyday routine, you can’t go wrong with this glassware. 

Then, as if I wasn’t already feeling lucky enough to have stumbled upon this hidden gem right before I checked out, I noticed the price — and the deal got even sweeter. At just $14.99, that means these glasses are less than $4 apiece. If they hadn’t been down to the last box on the shelf, trust me — I would have grabbed several!  

Given they’re already flying off the shelves, I wouldn’t be surprised if these sell out before we even round the bend towards summer.
