There are some vintage IKEA items that have become collector’s items (the ENETRI shelf immediately comes to mind, for example). But there are some vintage items that you don’t have to search for because IKEA actually brought them back — and one of those rereleases is currently on sale (but only until tomorrow!).

Earlier this year, IKEA relaunched the iconic JÄRPEN wire armchair (now called SKÅLBODA) that was originally part of IKEA’s 1983 furniture collection. Designed by Niels Gammelgaard, the chair comes in both black and orange, and it features a modern wire frame in a bowl shape that makes it comfortable either with or without a cushion.

And right now, the SKÅLBODA chair, normally priced at $100, is on sale for just under $80 until November 26. You can use one as extra seating inside, or place a couple out on your porch or patio when spring arrives.

“These took MAYBE four minutes to set up,” one IKEA shopper wrote in their review. “You wouldn’t expect them to be comfortable but they are, even without a pillow. I love the pop of color in my yard. (I bought the orange). I’ve already got many compliments on them.”

“I know it’s hard to believe looking at it, but this chair is actually surprisingly comfortable,” another person wrote. “It just kind of cradles your body into a relaxing, slightly reclined position. The fact that it was originally designed in the ’80s is what attracted me to it, as I’m trying to add fun 1980s decor to my bedroom … I plan on getting a pillow in a fun ’80s print to go with it.”

And someone else wrote: “Reissuing this design was such a good idea! I hope there will be more of this sort of thing. Condolences to all the vintage resellers.”

Grab this 1980s rerelease from IKEA while it’s marked down and add to your vintage IKEA collection without having to endure the seemingly endless hunt.
