Ina Garten, queen of hosting the perfect dinner party, just returned from a dreamy trip to Paris. On one of her nights in the city, she and her husband Jeffrey attended a dinner hosted by friends Braden and Laura Perkins and the tablescape the couple created is a major inspiration for all upcoming garden soirees.

“Thank you Braden & Laura Perkins for a magical dinner at your @twentytwoclubparis dinner club!!” Garten captioned her post. “The setting in the Palais Royal is stunning, the dinner Braden prepared was beyond delicious, and we will remember the evening forever … The view from your window is so beautiful and, literally, timeless.”

The table was set in a green theme, centered around a vintage collection of green leaf majolica plates.

Majolica, boldly-patterned enamel clay dishware originally crafted in Spain, Italy, and France, is highly collectible and the dishes come in various different motifs. Depending on its date of creation and origin, some European-made majolica sets are worth upward of $60,000.

But other vintage majolica motifs made in France, Germany, Austria, and America are much more affordable, though sets of multiples will still set collectors back a few hundred dollars. A single dinner plate in the same design seen on the table in Garten’s post is listed on Etsy for just under $40.

The majolica plates are framed with lighter green chargers and three small green vases bring that emerald shade to the center of the table. And the bouquets of purple flowers complement the green theme perfectly.

For your next outdoor gathering, take some inspiration from Garten and her friends and lean into green.
