A quick scroll of Instagram can confirm whether you’re on or off trend, and apparently that includes sussing out the top cities for interior design.

Joybird did some extensive hashtag research to compile all of the metropolitan areas in the U.S. that are currently sitting feng shui-perfect and pretty at the top of their style game.

The mission involved scouring nine of the most popular, design-focused hashtags such as #cottagestyle, #dreamkitchen, #farmhousestyle, #livingroomdecor, #midcenturymodern, #modernhome, and #officegoals, according to the retailer’s blog. They then shared the results from each category based on per capita use of the individual hashtags.

Apparently, the residents of Charlotte, NC are who you go to if you’re looking to take your bedroom decor skills to the next level. The city sits at the top of the list (like a fluffy bed pillow), followed by larger cities like Miami, San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston and L.A.

To expand your knowledge on the most stylish kitchen aesthetic, look no further than the folks from Annapolis, MD. Judging by their hashtag use, the city’s residents have kitchens that possess the most pizzazz in the country, followed by those in Salt Lake City and St. Louis.

Here’s some advice gleaned from the results: Don’t even bother trying to come up with your own living decorating ideas unless you either live in Greenville, SC or have feverishly scoured the Instagram profile of someone who lives there and frequently hashtags their envy-inducing decor. The city made the top of the list of people with lust-worthy living rooms, followed by Providence, RI and Salt Lake City, with Orlando and Boston rounding out the top ten.
