There’s no denying that appeal that architectural moldings can add to a space. And one of the easiest ways to get the look — with hardly any work at all — is with a ceiling medallion. Modern ceiling medallions, made of plastic or resin, are quite lightweight and can be attached with just adhesive (and maybe a few screws). If you’re looking to transform the look of your home, look no further than this list of 15 stylish options.

A few notes: you’ll want to make sure, before you buy, that the base of your light fixture is bigger than the hole in the middle of the medallion. If the hole isn’t big enough for the lighting assembly to fit through, or the medallion doesn’t come with a hole, you can cut one with a saw. This Old House has created a great guide for installing ceiling medallions that will walk you through the process. Many medallions are also available in two-piece options, so you can fit the medallion around your lighting fixture without removing the fixture at all.
