Joanna Gaines Shared How They Turned the Castle’s Old Dressing Room Into a “Clean, Timeless” Bathroom That Still Has Tons of Personality
Though the kitchen, dining room, and sun porch of the Waco, Texas castle Chip and Joanna Gaines recently remodeled are all gorgeous to look at, sometimes its the smaller spaces that really shine. Joanna Gaines shared a few photos from inside one of the bathrooms from the Castle, which was converted from a dressing room, and although it’s done in a neutral palette, there’s still so much to look at.
“The tile is the real show stopper in this bathroom at the Castle,” Gaines captioned a February 23 Instagram post. “The space used to be a dressing room, but we reworked the layout to include a shower and vanity area. I love how the walnut cabinet contrasts with the clean, timeless look of the marble.”
Complete with a freestanding claw-foot tub, adjustable vanity mirror, open shower, and lots and lots of gorgeous tile, the primary bathroom was lightened up with Silos White paint and given warmth with an antique walnut vanity cabinet topped with marble. There are three tile patterns featured in this room, and as Gaines said in her caption, they’re each uniquely timeless.
The primary bathroom is one of three bathrooms the Gaines worked on remodelling in the Castle, all of which tie in together with the marble-patterned subway tile and vintage brass fixtures. But the light airiness of the primary stands out amongst the crowd.
