My husband Ryan and I moved into our home two months ago. We always talked about buying a fixer-upper and making it our own. Then, something crazy happened. We had kids. Between the toddler tantrums and an angelic newborn, a fixer-upper no longer seemed fun. Priorities, y’all. So instead we found a move-in ready home and fell in love instantly! The floor plan is open, perfect for kids and has natural light for days. My favorite room is hands down the family room. I knew this is where we would spend most of our time, so I wanted something stylish yet kid friendly.

My favorite thing in this room is our art. We had such a hard time finding a piece of art that we liked and fit the space. So I decided to make my own by painting an IKEA mirror. It was a bit of a project but so worth it!
