On Feb. 6, 2020 Architectural Digest cover story. It’s a peek into “my space,” as she dubbed the post, and features a look at her bedroom, filled with soft textures, neutral tones, and a shearling accent chair that is perfect for waiting out the winter.
Jenner tagged her Los Angeles-based designer, Clements Design, in the post, who thankfully elaborated on the items in the shot in their own Instagram post from September 2020. According to Clements, the room was accented with an antique Kerman rug, a Rose Tarlow lamp, and that chair? It’s an antique 1940s-era sheepskin lounge chair.
Although it would be next to impossible to find the exact chair featured in Jenner’s bedroom design, faux shearling (aka boucle) furniture is having a moment (Gabrielle Union is also in on the trend). Luckily, mainstream furniture retailers are giving us all the cozy goodness.
Wayfair is currently selling the Pedra Distressed Barrel Chair that features the same seashell shape as Jenner’s vintage number and is similarly available in a white faux fur, as well as an antiqued gray leather and two velvet options: one in pink and the other in blue.
Studio McGee’s Threshold line includes a mid-century modern take on a sherpa accent chair. The Elroy chair features a cream-colored faux sherpa body with teak-colored wood legs and feels even comfier to lounge in than it looks.
World Market dipped its toes into the faux shearling trend with this vintage-inspired tub chair called the Brady. It features a curved, tufted back, similar to Jenner’s, but with a more retro build. The faux shearling wraps around the entire piece and gives it a modern feel.
