I’ve lived in studio apartments for most of my adult life, so by now I’ve gotten used to tiny living. My apartments — my current one included — haven’t had much room for extra furniture. Every time I’ve had to decide whether I would sacrifice my desk for a dining table, and so far my desk has won. It works well enough to eat off of (and I usually just end up using my C-shaped table and sit on my couch during meals, anyway).
In college I didn’t really mind not having a dining table in my studio, but my stance has started to change. I want to host dinner parties for my friends, and you can’t really do that without the right furniture. However, because I’m still working from home for most of the week, I’m not ready to part with my desk quite yet. So my dinner-party dreams have been dashed — or so I thought. I just found a foldable dining table on Wayfair that takes up hardly any room at all when not in use.

What Wayfair Shoppers Are Saying
Average Rating: 4.5/5
“Solid attractive table. I purchased for dining, homework, and games. It works perfectly and easily folds for storage. It is very sturdy, weighing just over 50 pounds. Comes assembled but for one easy piece to screw in.” —Helene
“Awesome table and will come in very handy over the holidays to add seating for dinner. It puts together easily and folds out of the way if not in use. Way better than a card table. Sturdy and I love the contrast between the tabletop and the legs.” —Susan
“This table is perfect for people who have limited space. For me, it is a pop-up dinner table or a place to do a project. It’s easy to set up and take down, and it arrived with very little to do before being able to use it.” —Alison
I can’t believe I didn’t know tables like this one existed until now — I would’ve scored one way sooner if I did! I could’ve been throwing dinner parties in my studio for years. Well, now that it’s on sale, it’s better late than never! I just need some folding chairs to go with it and I’m golden.
