Peek Inside Lea Michele’s Scandi Minimal Brentwood Home for Sale
In the latest celebrity real estate news, actress and singer Lea Michele recently placed her L.A. home on the market. Located in the Brentwood neighborhood, the home has a $3.35 million asking price, slightly more than the $3 million the former “Glee” actress paid when she acquired the hillside property in 2015.
The 3,163 square-foot residence was originally built in 1957 but has received several upgrades that transformed it into the chic, modern space it is today. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits on a half-acre of land in a cul-de-sac overlooking the Mandeville Canyon. The stylish abode features an open floor plan that pairs well with its high vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling and clerestory windows and skylights to create a sufficiently light-filled environment.
A steel-and-wood floating staircase and dark steel pillars accentuate the foyer, providing a nice contrast with the bright interior. The living area features a custom concrete fireplace surrounded by built-in wooden bookshelves. The decorative theme of dark wood accents continues into the nearby chef’s kitchen and formal dining space. The kitchen features dark cabinetry, high-end appliances and a spacious marble island with waterfall egde at center. Just across from the space is a steel-framed door that opens up to the backyard.
One of the guest bedrooms presently serves as a dressing area while a second and third function as a family room and a customized room for Michele’s parents during their visits. The second level houses the generously sized master bedroom, which has its own sitting area complete with built-in shelving. The master bath has a marble-lined steam shower, soaking tub and a double-vanity with marble countertops.
Outside, a pool surrounded by palm trees and fountains serves as the main attraction. There’s also a rose-covered pergola and bonfire pit and lounge space for relaxing and entertaining guests.
Hilton & Hyland’s Justin Paul Huchel holds the listing.
