Leisse Wilcox is a Life and Success Coach, and her home is like walking into a bubble of positivity and optimism. The walls are plastered with kind expressions and uplifting reminders for her and her three daughters. Obviously it works. Leisse and her daughters were so welcoming; they were just as warm as their home feels.
Leisse bought this 1930s house and had it renovated before moving in last summer. As a single mom of three daughters, she wanted to make her home an oasis where they can spend time together and have a space where they can feel most like themselves. Looking at this home, it’s clear she accomplished it.
Apartment Therapy Survey:
Our Style: Livable Boho/feminine cottage
Inspiration: What feels cozy and comfortable for my family, and what fits our personalities the most.
Favorite Element: The very welcoming vibe; it feels like living at a rose gold cottage.
Biggest Challenge: Not having a hot tub
What Friends Say: “This is SO YOU! It feels so good in here, so happy.”
Proudest DIY: I pieced together all of the design, the elements, and the artwork on my own—and have collected it from any and all of my travels. I love how well it has come together.
Biggest Indulgence: My stereo stand, dining table lamp, antique rugs.
Best Advice: Design a livable space that feels like you; involve elements and pieces that carry and hold a vibrant energy or special memory for you. It levels up the feeling of the space, and injects a lot of happy comfort around you.
