Leonardo DiCaprio’s Former Silver Lake Home Sells for $3.4 Million
If we’re talking about things we’d “never let go” of, Leonardo DiCaprio’s former Silver Lake compound would certainly be one of them. But alas, DiCaprio did let go of the property some time ago, and it was just snatched up by a new buyer with excellent taste and $3.4 million to spare.
Measuring 4,006 square feet, Leo’s former Spanish-style home is tucked up in the hills of the uber-cool Silver Lake neighborhood. Originally built in 1931, the four-bed, five-bath home has been extensively remodeled to preserve its tremendous history while being fully updated for the modern resident. A gated entry courtyard serves as the perfect welcoming to this charming estate, set back from the street for the perfect level of privacy. Step inside to the dramatic living room, where exposed beams cascade overhead. A cozy fireplace and original wood doors overlook the courtyard, setting the perfect scene for curling up inside on a rainy day.
A large chef’s kitchen has a spacious center island with bar seating, extensive counter space, and a butler’s pantry for plenty of storage. That flows into the elegant dining room, where light streams in through the oversized windows. The elegant master bedroom features its own sitting area with a fireplace, as well as a walk-in closet and stylishly-designed master bath. The remaining en-suite bedrooms are spacious and luxe, with one sitting on the main level with direct access to the backyard and swimming pool.
The backyard is the ultimate outdoor entertaining space, with a covered pavilion that has its own fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating space, and stunning views. A sparkling swimming pool sits nearby, providing the perfect spot to take a dip on a hot day. There’s also a stylish office on the second floor, as well as an expansive lower level four-car garage with extensive storage that’s reachable by elevator.
DiCaprio certainly has luxe taste in real estate. Last year, while filming “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” he rented a luxurious three bedroom apartment in the newly constructed 172 Madison in NoMad. And of course, there was the recent purchase of Moby’s house in Los Feliz. Oh, and that
