Mandy Moore Has the Coziest Bouclé Chair — Here’s How You Can Get the Look
Bouclé has been on everyone’s radar for a few years now —bouclé being the looped yarn upholstery fabric that looks similar to shearling. Gabrielle Union has a bouclé couch. Kate Hudson has a vintage bouclé swivel chair at her INBLOOM office. And now Mandy Moore is the latest celeb to show off the fact that she’s also hopped on the bouclé trend.
Moore, who recently welcomed her second child, gave fans a peek into her living room in an October 12 Instagram post. And behind the mother and (her oldest) son is a bouclé armchair that is just asking to be cuddled in.
“As we play the patient waiting game, I’ll take all the snuggles with the sweetest guy I know,” Moore captioned the post. “He’s still too young to understand the concept of baby brother but intuitively I think he knows there’s change in the air and he’s going to be the best big brother ever.”
The club chair behind her is a designer piece by Lawson-Fenning, based in Los Angeles. It’s the brand’s Mesa Swivel Chair in alpaca boulcé and it retails for $4,200.
But thankfully, because the bouclé trend is so huge right now, you can pick up a similar chair for a fraction of that designer price.
The Amoret Chair from Anthropologie is a great dupe because it not only features the exact same upholstery finish but also has a very similar base to the Mesa Swivel. The rounded shape is perfect for curling up in and the 360-degree swivel lets you be a part of every conversation happening in your sitting room.
Urban Outfitters has the Floria chair, a tri-legged armchair upholstered in that soft bouclé fabric. The construction makes it look like the chair has been folded and creased to make the coziest spot to curl up with a good book.
Clearly, bouclé isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
