So you’re home with clutter that you’re not comfortable with, and you need some sort of external force to get you motivated to organize, declutter, and clean. Marie Kondo wants to help.

As of today, the decluttering expert launched “KonMari Method: Fundamentals of Tidying,” an online tidying class that breaks down her organizing method in a 10-episode video series. Kondo’s digital classroom is based off of the KonMari community needs and is an extension of the tools and resources that already exist to support those staying at home.

“People are spending more time than ever at home, so this course is an opportunity to help them tidy up and rediscover their joy,” Kondo told Apartment Therapy. “Rather than a dreaded task, I see tidying as a celebration. It is my hope that the magic of tidying will help people to create a bright and joyful future—especially during these uncertain times.”

Kondo is providing visual step-by-step instructions on how to master the KonMari Method using various examples and anecdotes. “I’ve discovered over the years that people master the KonMari Method in different ways,” Kondo said. “For many, my books were all the tidying instruction they needed! For others, my Netflix show—featuring real life stories of people tidying with me—helped them through the process. This course is a great fit for people who enjoy learning through visual demonstration.”

Each episode tackles a new area, from going through sentimental items to organizing and decluttering clothes and establishing a tidying plan at large. And while Kondo said all the episodes are equally special to her, she mentioned that her team is partial to lesson eight: tidying komono, or miscellaneous items. “I use a screwdriver as an example of a utility item that might not spark joy but helps you live a life that sparks joy. I shower the screwdriver with compliments,” Kondo mentioned. “It’s important to express gratitude for the items that support your ideal lifestyle—but my team said my delivery was quite funny!“

The course is $39.99 and is available on the KonMari website as of today. Personally, I think that’s a pretty good price for getting a personal lesson from the decluttering queen herself.
