Earlier this summer I predicted that cork decor was about to go mainstream, and it looks like it just did! The versatile material has been all over my feed for months, from cork flooring to wall panels to furniture. And now it’s made its way onto all sorts of frames, too.

Los Angeles-based creator (and avid pin collector) Blake Silva posted a video to his Instagram profile in early August after discovering that Marshalls was selling an absolutely gorgeous cork-framed mirror. Not only does the cork frame elevate the simple floor mirror from basic to statement, but it can also be used to display cherished mementos like photos, brooches, or, in Silva’s case, a pin collection.

Cork Mirrors Can Double as a Super-Stylish Display

After trying seven different stores, Silva finally found not just one mirror, but two! Because the mirrors cost just $29.99, he decided to take them both home. He then got straight to work arranging his pin collection around the edges of the frame. The result? The cutest ever multifunctional display piece. Hanging on the wall, the mirror takes up almost no space; plus, every time Silva walks by, he’ll get to enjoy seeing his collection out in the open.

As my fellow social media devotees would say, it’s kinda chic to make your hobbies a part of your home decor! And Silva’s followers agree. “I love this so much,” one commenter shares. “[Marshalls] also has a mini gilded cork in a frame that I used for my really expensive pens to display them.” Another comment suggests an easy way to further customize the frame: “So cute! you could even paint the cork black so they pop more 😍,” a great suggestion for those who might want a slightly more sleek look.

You Can Shop Cork Mirrors Online at Any Price Point

Silva’s exact mirror isn’t currently available to shop online at Marshalls, although you can check your local stores as Silva did. But we found this similar piece from At Home — and at $24.99, it’s even more affordable than the Marshalls version. Shoppers seem to love it (the product has a 4.6-star rating). One happy customer explains that they purchased it for their teen daughter, who uses it as a photo display: “She loves being able to see all of the people special to her when she opens her closet to look in the mirror.”

If you love the idea of a cork mirror but want a piece that looks a bit more luxe and will last for years to come, check out this arched floor mirror from West Elm. With a thick cork frame and a slightly larger silhouette, this piece looks super stylish no matter how you use it.
