Martha Stewart Is Here to Remind You Just How Cute Bottle Brush Christmas Trees Are
The holiday season is always a nostalgic time of year, and what better way to up the nostalgia than bringing back a classic Christmas decoration? The official Martha Stewart Instagram account reminded its followers just how adorable bottle brush Christmas trees are and after seeing this mantel display, you’ll want an entire forest of them.
“Dress up your mantel for the holidays with a colorful assortment of vintage and inexpensive evergreens,” the caption of the Dec. 4 Instagram post reads. “The bottle‐brush variety are readily available online and at crafts stores (and the miniature ones were plucked from a model train set).”
Bottle brush trees, named such because they’re inspired by actual vintage bottle brushes, are readily found in vintage stores and antique markets this time of year. Traditionally, bottle brush trees were made in greens, whites and kitschy pinks and aquas. Some come flocked with fake snow, others are dripping in glitter, and some are even adorned with mini ornaments.
But if your local secondhand shops are fresh out of bottle brushes, there are a bunch of different bottle brush trees available online. Anthropologie has a set of 12 bottle brush trees that come in a variety of fun colors like teals, blues, greens, and pinks.
And if you find some bottle brush trees that need a little extra something, Stewart can help you out in that department. This clip from her iconic show tells you how to bling-ify your bottle brushes.
Check Etsy and eBay, too, if you’d like to invest in some true-blue vintage bottle brush trees. And once you’ve collected your forest, your mantel will sparkle and shine like never before.
