As AT’s Senior Style Editor, I cover the latest interior design trends, expert decorating ideas, and must-see home products. Whenever I’m not keeping tabs on the next TikTok “core” or buzzy IKEA collection, I’m most likely reading, online shopping, or looking for the best tacos in New York (recs are encouraged).

When it comes to stylish, reasonably priced modern light fixtures, few do it better than Mitzi. Well, get ready to love the editor-approved brand even more, because they’re teaming up with exciting need-to-know talent on a series of upcoming collections (yes, plural!).

Dubbed Mitzi Tastemakers, this years-in-the-making project features new lighting collaborations with a diverse variety of artists, influencers, and interior designers — each bringing their own signature aesthetics to the table… and ceiling, wall, and floor. These new launches are slated to debut throughout 2022 and 2023, and the first just went live last week with designer, photographer, and artist Dabito at the helm.

The multi-hyphenate created twelve new Mitzi pieces — from chandeliers to wall sconces — all equal parts cool, contemporary, and covetable. “I went back to my main inspiration, which are geometric shapes,” Dabito explains of his line. “I started playing with the simple idea of lines, circles, and triangles and connecting them together to create sculptural pieces. You’ll notice spheres, cones and wavy lines in this collection. I want them to be like jewelry for your space, so have fun accessorizing!”

Consider this the first of many must-see crossovers: the next Mitzi Tastemaker installment, in fact, kicks off later this summer with new lighting from Australian interior designer Tali Roth. The remaining roster also includes work from fellow designer Megan Molten and artist Eny Lee Parker. According to Mitzi’s director of product strategy and design, Sarah Speck, this series ultimately spotlights a medley of new styles, “from bold whimsy to muted coastal, and everything in-between,” and introduces “usable pieces that double as works of art.”

Stay tuned for more Tastemakers throughout the next year, but in the meantime, check out the full Mizti x Dabito collection on their site. Prices for the twelve new lights range from $138 to $650, and I pulled a few of my faves below.

Hikari 1 Light Wall Sconce
$138

A little wall-mounted light fixture goes a long way, especially one that looks as well-designed as this. The sleek brass sconce manages to feel both soft and sophisticated, thanks to delicately rounded shapes and an elongated arm. Its simple cone-shaped shade adds the classic finishing touch and pairs well with just about any interior style.

Hikari 4-Light Chandelier
$784

The matching Hikari chandelier, available in four- and six-light options, checks all the decor boxes. It’s unique, dynamic, and relatively well priced — a similar design might cost two or three times as much from other modern home brands. I especially love the asymmetric multi-level look, with the shades pointed in different angles for extra illumination.

Liwa 1 Light Table Lamp
$300

Behold, one of the coolest table lamps I’ve come across to date! The Liwa comes with a black or white ceramic base, made all the more eye catching thanks to sculptural zig-zag detailing. And despite the geometric design, it still leans compact overall.

Sodsai Pendant
$300

Dabito continues to play with pretty form in the scalloped Sodsai 1 pendant. Whether hung above your kitchen table or bed, it casts a bright light on whatever's beneath while also giving the decorative linen shade itself a cozy warm glow.
