These Are The 20 Most Popular Zip Codes in America
If you’ve considered moving within the past year, you’re not alone. In a new study, Opendoor reports that one-third of U.S. respondents said they would relocate for a lifestyle change, whether they hoped to be closer to the outdoors or join a close-knit community. But where are the most popular locations for United States homebuyers?
To find out where people bought the most homes last year, the digital real estate platform researched the trendiest zip codes where homebuyers are flocking. To do so, the Opendoor team analyzed data from the local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) where Opendoor Brokerages operate. Zip codes were then ranked by total homes which went into contract within 90 days in 2022.
This year’s top 10 list includes returning favorites like Clarksville, Tennessee and New Braunfels, Texas, which both fit into Opendoor’s finding that nearly half (49%) of respondents decided to move somewhere with a more affordable cost of living. For instance, Clarksville has a more cost-friendly, laid-back community while still being close to Nashville, and New Braunfels is conveniently situated between San Antonio and Austin.
These are the top 10 locations in the United States right now, according to Opendoor.
