MUJI and Airbnb Launched a Starter Kit of Minimal Home Stay Essentials
Japanese retailer MUJI and Airbnb have teamed up to create the ultimate host essentials kit, jam-packed with all the amenities you need to elevate your rental space. The first-of-its-kind kit comes in time for a predicted summer travel boom as COVID-19 vaccines become increasingly available worldwide.
For hosts that are looking to refresh their homes as a way to welcome back guests, the affordable and trend-led kit features design-forward products, from kitchen essentials to self-care and wellness accessories.
Curated based on a traveler survey that revealed the top items that make for a great stay, MUJI and Airbnb designed the kit to help make hosting as simple and approachable as possible. Covering all the essentials, as well as those finishing touches that make a getaway special, the kit offers 23 products and an all-white design that makes the kit a versatile option, fitting any aesthetic.
Kitchen and dining items include bowls and plates from MUJI’s White Porcelain dishware series, as well as stacking tumbler glasses that have been created with space and efficiency in mind, and wooden serving trays.
For the closet and bathroom, you’ll find everything from waffle-textured hand and face towels and clothes hangers to toothbrush stands and refillable PET bottles. Wellness items include the MUJI Aroma Diffuser that uses ultrasonic waves to efficiently diffuse a fragrant mist around the room. The kit also comes with the MUJI Happy Essential Oil, an uplifting citrus and lemongrass blend that’s the perfect partner for the diffuser.
Finally, the kit would not be complete without cleaning essentials. MUJI’s Cleaning System takes up minimal storage space, since it includes several tools that attach to the same pole for hard to reach areas.
Airbnb Host Essentials by MUJI is designed to accommodate two guests and costs $400.
