Who doesn’t love a soft and fluffy bath towel? Stepping out of the shower and into the plush embrace of a quality bathroom linen is all part of the self-care experience. I take great pride in finding towels that will provide the best comfort I can afford (as we all should), because the bathroom is one of the home’s most sacred spaces for TLC. And until recently, I thought that there was nothing better than buying the biggest, fluffiest towels I could find. But what if I told you that my latest favorite has no fluff whatsoever? It’s not even the softest towel in my closet. I didn’t know what to expect when Onsen sent me a denim blue Bath Towel Set, After trying them for myself and observing first-hand their space-saving design and amazing absorbing factor, I plan to own them in as many colors as I can get.

It’s immediately noticeable that Onsen Bath Towel Set isn’t your standard option. While the edges are smooth, the heart of the 100-percent Supima cotton towels are woven into a neat waffle weave that gives them a textured appearance. They’re even made with extra-long fibers, which contribute to their durability. At first glance, they might be comparable to dish towels to some, but in my honest opinion, they’re far too nice to consider using in the kitchen. After giving the towels a wash, I was excited to give them a try to see how they held up. I didn’t see a lot of shedding, which was a great sign right away. (I know it comes with the territory of fresh new towels, but one of my biggest pet peeves is being covered in fuzz after a relaxing shower.)

It’s safe to say that the Onsen bath towels soak up water quicker than the average towel. I did a side-by-side comparison with one of my old-ish terry towels, and the waffle knit didn’t need that extra second it takes for the water to pass through the fabric. The Onsen bath towels are just as absorbent as they claim to be, going toe-to-toe with the thicker plush towels. Additionally, the Onsen towels are notably lightweight and absolutely made for small spaces. When I folded the large bath towel and stacked it with the rest in the cabinet, it was half the size of a standard towel (and yes, they were folded the same way). If I ever have to pack and bring my own set of towels anywhere, Onsen would be the ones I reach for. They take up so little space and don’t feel like they’ll fall apart after a few uses.

The icing on the cake is the BIG bath towel. Maybe it’s the lighter weight of the towel, but it made me feel like I was being swallowed up in warmth once I hit the cool air after a hot shower. (I might have to go a little larger and snag one of Onsen’s bath sheets, too!) It didn’t take long to dry off with it, and it didn’t have that musty odor that wet towels sometimes get if they’re left damp and hanging for too long. Not only do the towels absorb really well, but they also dry quickly without that mushy feeling from leftover water getting trapped in the fibers. Even better? They’re on sale for 30 percent off right now through November 29 for the brand’s sitewide Black Friday sale. Use code BF2021 at checkout.

I couldn’t be happier about this bath towel set! I’ve been telling all of my family about how great the towels look and feel, along with how I’ve been thinking about ordering another set to expand my collection. No wonder they’ve racked up over 1,000 rave reviews. If you ask me, these quick-drying towels are well worth the hype for small-space dwellers like me!
