A bold wallpaper can give any home a style boost — whether a rental or something owned — and there are many enviable wallpapers in Claire Champion’s (@charnwoodtowers) home. One of my favorite wallpapers is in her guest room; it’s WallpaperMural.com’s pasted Freya option.

Before, the bedroom had plain white walls and bedding, and Claire gave it a color boost with the wallpaper and other decor.

Two of the walls got patterned wallpaper; two got paint

Even though Claire has nine (and counting) different wallpaper patterns throughout her home, she says she is most frequently asked about the wallpaper in this small bedroom. “It’s definitely one of my favorite wallpapers and still brings me all the joy,” she says on Instagram. Not to mention it was fairly easy to put up because the panels were numbered.

She used the Freya wallpaper on two walls (and a tiny third!) in the room, and she painted the window wall a light pink color similar to the wallpaper’s background and the wall with the doorframe a light sagy green. “My only regret in this room? Not painting the ceiling in a similar color to the mural,” Claire says on Instagram. “Then I remember how much I loathe painting ceilings and feel less regretful.”

Pops of green complete the cozy bedroom

Because the wallpaper is so bold, Claire didn’t need much in the way of artwork or decor. She added a hanging plant in the corner, a green scalloped nightstand, and green bedding from Dunelm to complete her coral and green color scheme, one that repeats throughout her home.

The bed is from Happybeds and adds storage in the small space. Speaking of storage, there is an IKEA wardrobe in the room, and it was originally white (adding to the “loads and loads of white paint,” as Claire describes on Instagram), and she added a light wood vinyl to it to zhuzh it up.
