Orlando Bloom Just Brightened Up His Daughter’s Room Using Playful Wall Decals
Orlando Bloom may be a multi-award winning actor known for his work in iconic franchises such as “The Lord of the Rings” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” but now he can add “dad of the year ” — in the words of fiancée Katy Perry — to his resume.
Bloom took to Instagram this week to show off the impressive DIY handiwork that earned him the prestigious title from Perry, and it’s a ray of sunshine. The post, which was simply captioned with three emojis, shows Bloom applying large daisy wall decals to his daughter Daisy Dove’s playroom wall. A very apt choice for the one-year-old.
The flowers are a blooming addition to Daisy Dove’s bedroom; the bright sunshine yellow wall radiates joy and positivity into the infant’s space.
While there’s no telling the exact brand or color of paint that Bloom has used, the sunny shade is a pretty close match to Drew Barrymore’s Flower Home Paint in “Lemon Yellow.”
As for the daisies, there are plenty of wall decal stickers and paint stencils available if you want to replicate the look. These two options, both of which are from Etsy, are five-star bestsellers and will look great in any room, from a nursery to an adult bedroom.
Applying decals is a great starter project for any budding DIYer, and it’s something that will instantly elevate any space without costing too much. Plus, since they can be easily removed, they’re a great option for renters and those who like to switch up their interior style often.
The Instagram post also features a clip of Bloom assembling a wooden toy for his daughter, with Perry calls him the grand title of “dad of the year” for all the effort spent into making Daisy Dove’s bedroom a floral oasis. To this, Bloom jokingly replies: “Stars, they’re just like us.”
Unsurprisingly, Bloom’s friends and fans have been loving his wholesome DIY project, sharing the love for the beautiful bedroom in the comments. “This is so cute,” wrote singer Natasha Bedingfield, while actress Vinessa Shaw commented exactly what everyone is thinking: heart-eyed emojis.
Petition for Bloom and Perry to post more DIY content, anyone?
