In the two years that I’ve had my beloved Parachute Cloud Cotton Quilt, I swore I would never, ever (EVER!) retire it. Seriously, I’ve tested a lot of different bedding during my home editor tenure, and this is the only one that’s graduated to permanent bedroom status. It’s consistently my #1 pick whenever anyone asks for duvet or comforter recs, too. Basically, I felt ultra confident that my bed couldn’t possibly look or feel any better — that is, until I tried Parachute’s latest bedding launch, the Resort Collection.

What Is the Parachute Resort Collection?

Parachute’s Resort Collection line, which just debuted today, features new luxe-looking sheets, pillowcases, and a duvet cover, plus striped bath and hand towels. The brand also introduced an entirely new bedding fabric, Organic Soft Luxe, as a softer take on their percale designs. And as the collection name implies, every piece fits the straight-out-of-a-high-end-hotel aesthetic, thanks to sleek piped edges and two neutral color combos: black and white or bone and cream. The line also comes in sets or a la carte, ranging from $69-$489 with sizes full through California king, and you can even buy a bundle with duvet and pillow inserts included.

Why I Love the Parachute Resort Collection

I opted for the white Resort Collection duvet cover set and matching top sheet — and I’m admittedly annoyingly meticulous about the appearance of my bed (I’m a style editor through and through), so this pairing checks all my visual boxes. I love that even the top sheet has black decorative piping, so it feels especially pretty and presentable with the duvet cover peeled back and pillows layered on. That speaks to the line’s versatile styling potential overall, and I even draped another duvet cover from Cultiver at the foot of the bed like a throw. Ultimately, the Resort Collection mimics the plush, inviting allure of a hotel bed, but with a much more laid-back and lived-in vibe.

I’d argue that this line shines most from a comfort standpoint. Made from a 100 percent organic cotton sateen, the Organic Soft Luxe material reminds me of a crossover between plain old cotton and high-quality Egyptian cotton (which I’d been sleeping on initially). Similar to Parachute’s signature Cloud Cotton fabric, this new bedding is simultaneously silky and breathable, yet extremely snug and cozy. And major emphasis on softness: the texture stunned me even while initially unboxing the set, and each piece feels just as dreamy and smooth after a laundry cycle, down to the pillowcases.

There’s still a special place in my heart (and on my bed) for my original Parachute quilt, but after just a few nights of using the Resort Collection bedding, I think I’ve officially met my new year-round, vacation-inspired favorite — because bedtime has never been as luxurious as this.
