Pharrell’s Streetwear Brand Is Expanding Into Home Goods
Inspired by more time spent at home amid the ongoing pandemic, Pharrell Williams’s streetwear brand has expanded into home goods with a collection of pillows — and soon, rugs. The musician’s Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream brand released two new collectible pillows earlier this week: the IC Coneman Pillow, $75, and the Standing Astronaut Pillow, $75, the latter of which already sold out. Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream is slated to launch more home goods in the coming months.
“BBC has been able to morph into many things while still maintaining its foundation,” Williams told Architectural Digest of the home launches. “When the pandemic hit and our homes became our canvases, I felt it was the perfect time for BBC to get into that space.” The pillows — one shaped like an ice cream cone with a face on it, the other shaped like an astronaut — aren’t the brand’s first foray into home goods. BBC previously collaborated with porcelain art studio Yeenjoy Studio on a series of porcelain incense chambers shaped like ice cream cones.
The musician’s design prowess in the home space comes as no surprise. Last year, Williams put his sprawling 17,000-square-foot Beverly Hills home of two years on the market — one that Twitter had plenty of quips about due to its unconventional facade — and revealed a luxe piece of architecture. Defined by sharp angles, modern decor, and glass facades (so much glass facades!), the home has a whopping 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
If Williams’s former home is any inclination, Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream’s forthcoming home expansion will truly be a design sight to behold.
