It sounds exclusive and super posh, but believe it or not, it is totally possible to rent a private island without breaking the bank. The mere thought of this luxe getaway instantly conjures up fuzzy paparazzi photos of celebrities soaking up plenty of sun, sipping fancy drinks and living it up on gorgeous island to which only they have access. As tempting as it may be to dismiss these luxe accommodations as an unattainable fantasy, vactional rental site Vrbo has a listing that just might convince you to move forward with upgrading your future vacay plans.

The dreamy destination in question is Kanu Island, a 2.5-acre that’s only a 15-minute boat ride from Placencia, Belize. At $200 per person, per day, the glamorous beachy escape comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests.

As can be expected, the island rental comes with every sort of perk imaginable, up to and including, five 1,000 square-feet luxury villas complete with ocean views, a full-time private chef, maid service, boat captain concierge, paddle boards, on-site kayaks, wi-fi, daily laundry service, flat-screen TVs, lawn games, boat with captain for fishing and snorkeling trips to the nearby Belize Barrier Reef, massage therapist and a large fresh water pool.

Each of the villas contains its own master bedroom suite with spacious bathrooms and outdoor showers that allow guests to take full advantage of the island vibes. The villas also have high bamboo ceilings and custom-made, local furniture. One home includes a loft for guests with children, while a few other villas come with large soaking tubs.

When not relaxing in their individual villas, guests can also head to the island’s center, where there’s a living and dining room, a bar and kitchen area along with the in-ground swimming pool that features a swim up bar.

The island is currently available for booking; guests are required to stay at least four nights. For rates, availability and additional info, check out the listing on Vrbo.
