For a glimpse into Reese Witherspoon’s life at home, there’s no better place to visit than her Instagram page, which includes cheerful, expertly curated peeks into her private space. And even when she’s doing promotional content for brands, fans are all about the charm of getting to see inside her Los Angeles home. Case in point: Her recent video in which she’s packing for an upcoming trip, giving a rare glimpse into her gorgeous closet.

Witherspoon shared a silly clip of herself stashing the essentials in her suitcase, doing so from her stunning, sizable closet. While the actress previously shared the spacious all-white closet in her Nashville home on a 2020 episode of The Home Edit’s Netflix series, it seems her LA closet is just as awe-inspiring.

In the video, the Oscar winner can be seen throwing some stuff haphazardly into a suitcase on the floor, including her workout gear, her iPad (which is clad in a truly Elle Woods approved hot pink case), and her skincare must-haves from Biossance, of which Witherspoon is a spokesperson. And while her travel essentials are undoubtedly useful — including Cortisone cream to ease the itch and sting of bug bites when on vacation — it’s her fully wallpapered closet that commands attention.

Witherspoon is famously a fan of patterned wallpaper — she has a vibrant blue print in her cozy reading nook, a tropical-inspired fruit patterned paper in her bathroom, a bold blue and white print with matching curtains in one of her living spaces, and an elegant country cottage print in her kitchen. So it makes sense why she’s also got wallpaper in her closet, but the difference here is that the walls and the ceiling are papered, making for a fresh, bold take on one of the buzziest interior trends of the past several years.

Clearly a big fan of blue hues, her closet pick features patterned stripes in varying versions of dark and light blue, extending from the walls across the ceiling and coordinating perfectly with the blue and white window treatments in the room. She also gave a glimpse of what appears to be a white vanity with gold detailing and accents, infusing her signature southern style throughout.

Though it’s unclear exactly where she got the wallpaper from, a similar pick is Serena and Lily’s Acadia Stripe Wallpaper in Navy ($128), offering plenty of personality without being too busy or bold. Of course, including it on the ceiling provides an unexpected touch that works perfectly in any space.
