I Love This Chic, Sustainable (and Washable!) Tote from This Celeb-Loved Brand So Much, I Have It In Three Colors — It’s Perfect for Travel

If you know me, you know that I’m a handbag snob. Cross bodies, totes, backpacks — you name it, I’ve got wayyy too many of them. Trust me: If you peek in my overflowing closets, you’ll see it for yourself. So, when I find a bag that I absolutely cannot live without and wear on the daily, you know it’s a keeper. A few years ago, I discovered the lightweight, versatile tote I’ll be carrying for the rest of my life: Rothy’s Lightweight Tote.

If you’re not familiar with Rothy’s, the brand is known for its super chic washable, comfy flats that Meghan Markle herself owns. The coolest (and most unexpected) feature? Their products are actually made of recycled water bottles, but they definitely don’t feel like it. Rothy’s decided to expand its sustainable offerings after the success of its footwear line, and I’m so very glad they did. Fast forward a few years, I now own various versions of their tote in three colors — and they’re in my constant rotation. From work to the airport, this thing is my BFF when I’m on the go.

Rothy’s Lightweight Tote is an ultra-durable bag made of a combination of marine plastic and Rothy’s signature thread that’s made with single-use plastic bottles (but you’d never know it!). The flexible design is super comfy — especially on my shoulder when I’m lugging my laptop and workout gear — which is essential while commuting on the train to work or while at the airport. It comes with a built-in key leash to make it a breeze to find your keys quickly, or you can attach a Rothy’s wristlet to it for added organization.

To put it plainly: I am in love with this tote. While the colors I own are no longer sold, I am tempted to buy another in a color I don’t yet have. This reliable handbag has my undeniable approval so much so that I’m vouching to give it as a gift this year. Some people may like a ton of built-in pockets in their bags, but I love that you have full freedom to customize this bag how you like it.
