This Dirty Rug #CleanTok Transformation Is Ridiculously Satisfying to Watch

I could spend hours scrolling through #CleanTok — discovering a new trick or two, learning about what’s trending, and, overall, getting inspired by others to clean my home. I especially love seeing cleaning transformations where people turn something from downright dirty into astonishingly clean right before my eyes. It’s truly awe-inspiring and can be highly motivational. 

One such video that caught my attention is this one, where a TikToker shared the “best rug cleaning video” they’ve ever seen — @asmrmaryyy regularly posts “therapeutic rug cleaning videos” on her account, and this one is no different.

In it, a person is seen cleaning a previously dirty — and I mean really dirty — rug into a nice and clean one ready for anyone to put into their home. 

It starts by taking the rug completely covered in dirt and grime and goes through several steps to get it clean. It’s a mix of washing the rug, putting down a cleaning product, using a mop and professional-grade cleaner to get it in, scrubbing it by hand, and brushing it. (It’s a lot of work!)

The process is long and thorough but yields one of the best and most satisfying results. “I’m still trying to process how that white rug could turn that color 🫥😳,” said one commenter — and I wholeheartedly agree. I couldn’t even believe the colors and patterns that would be revealed after it was cleaned. And with each pass, it got more defined. 

Like many of the commenters, I enjoyed watching this rug be brought back to life. It just goes to show that even if you think something is dirty beyond repair, it might have the potential to be restored — but of course with a whole lot of hard work, the right cleaning tools, and a ton of experience. This job was certainly one for the professionals.
