This Tiny House Has More Amenities in 339 Square Feet Than an NYC Apartment
A tiny house has many pluses: it keeps impact on the environment low and gives you the advantage of rigging your house up to a set of wheels to move around the country as you please. And in the case of this tiny house called Denali XL, you get to enjoy luxe amenities on the road, too.
Timbercraft Tiny Homes, a builder located in Guntersville, AL, creates custom-built tiny home layouts that are available for purchase—the 399-square-foot Denali XL being one of them. The team designed the Denali XL model based off of an existing tiny house called Denali, expanding it from 37 feet to 42 feet in length to include more luxe amenities in a compact way.
The home features powered skylights that open and close automatically by timer or rain sensor, which lets natural light into the compact space. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a four-burner stove and oven, a Summit refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom, a trash compactor, and even a dishwasher—an amenity that many New York City apartments lack.
The bathroom has a steam shower, an incinerating toilet, a ventilation fan that controls the humidity inside, and a washer-dryer combo (!) hidden in a compartment. The bedroom is a loft-style space above a set of storage stairs where you can toss shoes, sheets and towels, and more.
Both the interiors and exterior were designed with a rustic-chic aesthetic in mind. Shiplap walls, stained wood ceilings, hardwood floors, and Sierra Pacific wood-clad windows outfit the space. The kitchen cabinets can be customized with a range of colors and finishes. Quartz countertops, under-cabinet lighting, and a farmhouse sink complete the look.
DenaliXL was a custom design, but if it’s speaking to your desires to live tiny and in style, Timbercraft Tiny Homes does consultations to help you get the home of your dreams. The homes vary from $50,000 to $150,000 depending on the finishes and customizations you get, and you can see the full breakdown of design and functional details here.
