The $3 Cleaning Tool I Reach For Almost Daily (It’s So Underrated)
If you have pets, you know that cleaning up after their hair is practically a full-time job. If you ask me, the battle against pet hair is best fought with multiple tools, like a high-powered hand vacuum, daily vacuuming, and, most importantly, the right lint roller. Sounds basic, but a good lint roller will take you far. For me, it’s the Scotch-Brite Pet Hair Pickup Lint Roller. Here’s why.
What Is the Scotch-Brite Pet Hair Pickup Lint Roller?
The Scotch-Brite lint roller is your first line of defense against pesky pet hair, dust, lint, and other clingy debris that could be lurking on your sofa, car seats, or clothes. It features an easy-to-grip plastic handle and 30 sheets of the stickiest paper I’ve come across. The perforated, easy-tear sheets make refreshing the lint roller effortless, and keep you from unraveling more than you need.
When the lint roller runs its course, its durable plastic base can simply be refilled with a new roll of lint-catching paper, so there’s one fewer thing going to the trash (hooray!).
How It Performed
I’ve tried other lint rollers that were clumsy to use and not sticky at all, and had sheets that were an absolute pain to tear off. Scotch-Brite’s Pet Hair Pickup Lint Roller is none of those things. They took a household gadget that’s been around for ages and improved on it!
The Pet Hair Pickup Lint Roller’s smooth, easy-gliding roll makes all the difference. I pass it over my couch and throw pillows in seconds, and am often astounded at what it picks up. Its super-sticky paper catches hair, dust, and debris that I didn’t know existed: dog hair that had been hiding on my couch cushions for months, dust and crumbs from who knows where, and even strands of my own hair came up on the lint roller’s sheet.
And while pausing to precariously peel off the sheet (without compromising the sticky exterior) would normally disrupt my lint rolling flow, and add unnecessary time to the cleaning process, I find that the sheets on the Scotch-Brite lint roller live up to their easy-tear claims.
It won’t replace the other hair-busting tools in my cleaning closet, but this trusty, hair- and dust-trapping lint roller reminded me that classics are classics for a reason. And for the low price of $3, there’s no reason not to have one on hand to round out my cleaning routine!
