Here at AT, we are big fans of solid-colored sheets to make any bedscape look crisp and clean. But personally, I absolutely love the look of a single-color comforter with patterned sheets — they’re like a built-in surprise in your bed, not to mention a great way to mix interesting aesthetics into your decor. One of my favorite brands to find cool bedding? Sister Moons, a female-owned brand that makes high-quality products for high-quality sleep. I tested out their Hand Block-Printed Orchid Sheets, and I am happy to report that they’re an absolute dream.

When I spotted these Hand Block-Printed Orchid Sheets online, I initially underestimated their beauty. The patterned sheets I’ve used in the past have been pretty straightforward, with multicolored stripes or polka dots; floral motifs always felt too young- or old-leaning for me. The Sister Moons sheets have an abstract design of orchids in a dark raspberry red. They’re made from one hundred percent organic cotton that feels luxurious and looks gorgeous contrasted with the moon-blue shade of my duvet cover. They’re also wrinkle free out of the dryer, which I wasn’t expecting at all. (According to Sister Moons, you can add a touch of shine to the sheets simply by ironing them.)

I was initially concerned that the medium weight of the Orchid Sheets would be too warm for this time of year, but once I crawled into bed for the first time, these sheets felt AMAZING! I usually like to add a blanket to the top of my bedding to give it some additional soothing pressure, but combined with my comforter, these sheets are enough for me. Plus, they’re wide enough to tuck under my thick pillow-topped mattress without coming undone. I’ve never once gotten too hot or needed to push them off in the middle of the night to cool down. Overall, I just feel really elegant sleeping in them. I think I should have grabbed a set of floral sheets a long time ago!

There are two other versions of the Sister Moons Orchid Printed Sheets: Ocean has the same design as Raspberry but in a deep blue hue, and Green & Gold features gold-outlined orchids on a light green background. The sheets are sold as separates, ruling out the need to buy a flat sheet if you prefer fitted only, and there are also matching pillowcase sets and duvet covers. This bedding is pretty, modern, and embraces a minimalist approach that makes them stand out against other bed linens. Sweet dreams, friends!
