When I’m not lounging in the sun or watching the waves, my oceanside trips usually entail fussing with my towel. Beaches are notoriously windy, so although it makes sense that towels would whip around and become displaced anytime you leave them, it doesn’t make the problem any less annoying. In fact, it becomes even more frustrating when you’re sitting in a beach chair. You might no longer have to deal with sand getting all over your towel, but now you have to keep it from sliding down every time you lean forward slightly. The last time I went to the beach, though, I spotted three different people who were utilizing an ingenious hack to keep their towels in place.

Now, I don’t know if I’m late to the trend when I tell you about this product, but if you haven’t tried beach chair clips before, you’ll definitely want to snag a pair before your next beach day. We found a pack of four on Amazon that retail for just $10 and comes in a variety of fun colors and animal shapes. The Sopito beach chair clips were bought more than 1,000 times in the past month, and for good reason.

What are the Sopito Beach Towel Clips?

Lightweight but durable, these super cute parrot- and flamingo-shaped clips are designed to clip over the top of your beach chair after you lay your towel on it. Once you have them in place, you’ll never have to redrape your towel or pull it back up again. The clips are made from plastic, so you’ll have no trouble throwing them in your bag and transporting them to the beach. The flamingo and parrot duo comes in two colors, or you can opt for a cheeky frog and parrot pair. No matter which one you go with, all of the clip shapes have ergonomic handles, so you’ll be able to open them with ease. And, as numerous Amazon reviewers have noted, the bright colors allow you to easily spot your setup when coming out of the water or returning to your chair after lunch. What merely looks like a decorative gadget is actually an ingenious hack designed to make your lounging experience infinitely more comfortable.
