This Renter-Friendly Shower Head Adds an Instant Color Upgrade to Your Boring Bathroom
As almost every renter knows, finding attractive and temporary ways to customize your home is a tall order. This is especially true for shower heads, which can be tricky to install, are often sold without all of the water pressure features you may want, and look generally boring. But home improvement company sproos! is trying to change all of that with its easy-to-install shower fixture, and it’s already receiving tons of love on TikTok for its versatility and slick design.
The sproos! shower heads are sold in three models: The Minimalist ($160), which includes a handheld shower head, soap dish, and 24-inch sliding rail for users to adjust its height. The Stayin’ Connected ($200) includes the same features as The Minimalist but boasts a cup holder (sproos! suggests it could be used for a mid-shower beer, plant, or toothbrush) and a magnetic phone holder display. The Lookin’ Good ($230) set features all of the attachments from two previous models plus an anti-fog mirror and a small shelf with a hook.
Designed similarly to other shower heads on the market, each sproos! product is made with a removable nozzle that can be positioned at different heights and is sold in four colors (black, white, yellow, and red).
In true renter-friendly fashion, there’s no need to use a drill or screws during installation since the product’s adhesive will secure the bar to the wall of your shower. The package does come with a QR code that features easy video installation instructions if your DIY skills are rusty or you prefer to watch and follow along.
Common across all three models, each shower head has three spray modes: monsoon, for a strong, wide-coverage flow; cloudburst, for a gentle, light drizzle, and jet, which mimics a power-wash clean on your body. It’s also worth noting that there’s a pause button on the handle to prevent wasting water, which can come in handy if you’re bathing pets or watering your plants.
For Lauren, a New York Citer renter who documented her Brooklyn apartment decor on Apartment Therapy and regularly posts apartment updates on TikTok, purchasing the yellow Lookin’ Good set provided “a colorful way to spruce up [her] bathroom.” She noted on TikTok that the installation was “relatively straightforward” and suggested a can of WD-40 to help with the shower head’s removal.
If you’re considering a bathroom makeover, maybe it’s time to sproos! up your bathroom with a brand new shower head.
