When it comes to bringing some more life into your personal space, the options are endless. If getting a roommate, having kids, or adopting pets are out of the question, plants are the way to go. And here’s a creative way to do that: buy a table that doubles as a plant bed.

Now, where would one find such a genius-level creation? Look no further than the Kickstarter campaign for BloomingTables, the company behind this fabulous piece of furniture that provides a home for flora while instantly beautifying your home or office space.

Aptly described as an “elegant functional living table,” the piece measures 30 inches tall, 33 inches long and 10.5 inches wide. The easily assembled table is comprised of a watertight acrylic tub, a 6mm-tempered glass top, four UV-resistant suction cups to hold the glass in place, a painted maple veneer box and a set of painted steel hairpin legs.

To put the indoor plant sanctuary to use, simply fill the BloomingTable with gravel and activated charcoal to prevent overwatering and assist with water absorption. Then, create a stunning display filled with easy plants to grow indoors and place the display beneath a windowsill or under a lamp for ample light. To water the plants, simply lift the glass off the suction cups and replace afterwards.

Additionally, the table solves many of the issues that come along with housing indoor plants. It’s pet and child-resistant, saves space and allows you to care for plants without creating a mess.

“There are limited options for the housing of indoor plants,” the creators explain. “BloomingTables was born out of the idea that beautiful plants deserve beautiful homes. We have created a product that has brought character and joy into our home, and we want to share this experience with others.”

The campaign has already reached its goal, and you can still preorder your own BloomingTable, starting at $164. They expect to ship starting in November 2019.
