Marshalls Has Tons of Nancy Meyers-Inspired Gems — See the One I’m Eyeing

When it comes to decorating my home, I’m pretty resolute in terms of what I like and dislike. This means I have an easier time shopping for new items because I can instantly single out a vase or accent pillow I’d be willing to add to my living room setup. But like a lot of other people, I feel tempted to throw all of my preferences out the window whenever I watch a Nancy Meyers movie or see one of her film’s interiors on social media.

If I had to describe a Nancy Meyers interior using a few words, I’d say cozy, slightly coastal, and full of soft, neutral colors (and highly aspirational). Recently, while browsing some of Marshalls’ new home arrivals, I noticed a number of pieces that look straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie set. The one I have my eye on is this Tahari rattan nightstand. Based on how cute it is, I can’t imagine it’ll stay in stock for long.

Unlike a lot of other rattan nightstands that only have a rattan drawer or two and are mostly made of another material, like wood, this one is all rattan. It has a neutral sandy color and adorable cubelike silhouette. The nightstand measures 22 inches wide, 24 inches tall, and 18 inches deep. Still, I think even if you have a tiny bedroom, you could get away with putting just one of these next to your bed.

Because the entire nightstand is made of rattan, it won’t clash with your other wood furniture. I know when I shop for wooden furniture, I sometimes have trouble finding an exact color match to the wooden pieces I already own. But with this pick, you won’t experience that problem because rattan goes with almost everything. Additionally, the nightstand has three medium-size drawers, so you get plenty of storage space for all of your bedside essentials.

I found a lot of other decor at Marshalls that’ll help you achieve a Meyers-esque home aesthetic. They include this faux olive plant, which comes in a rustic-looking vase. As far as faux plants go, it looks pretty convincing and will add a mellow touch to your space. It’s not overly expensive, either, so you could grab a couple and place them throughout a room.

Some Nancy Meyers interiors also feature Chinoiserie-inspired decor. I found a few small items from Marshalls with that detail that would be easy to throw into your shopping cart, like this lidded ceramic candle or this planter set, which has trendy scalloped edges.

Another notable find is this scalloped jute runner, which will add a homey touch thanks to its natural fiber construction. At $20 for the smaller size and $25 for the larger size, it’s a steal — and feels straight out of a Something’s Gotta Give Hamptons home. There’s also this matte, rustic-looking picture frame, which looks like it could be vintage, for just $15.
