Target’s Slashing Prices on More Than 2,000 Items and Shoppers Are Cheering
Exciting news for Target shoppers! If you’ve been eyeing home goods, beauty products, toys, and delicious food and beverage items, now may be your time to snag them at lower prices. In an October 22 press release, Target announced they are slashing prices on more than 2,000 items for the second time this year.
“We know families are excited to celebrate the holidays, so Target is committed to helping them find joy without compromise with great products across our assortment at even lower prices,” Rick Gomez, Target’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, said in the press release.
Why Is Target Reducing Their Prices?
With the holidays approaching, millions of shoppers will be buying household items. This price cut will help consumers navigate recent inflation, especially as holiday purchases hit their budgets. In the press release, Gomez mentioned that Target routinely adjusts prices to remain competitive in the market.
Gomez added, “From meal prep and gifting to everyday needs, Target’s offering the kind of exceptional value that’ll make it even easier for everyone to save money as they embrace the magic of the season.”
With this new price cut, shoppers can enjoy the holiday season without worrying about affording everyday necessities, holiday meals, and gifts for their families.
What Items Will be Discounted?
According to the press release, consumers will find reduced prices on everyday items, like Crisco Vegetable Oil (40 fluid ounces) now $4.79 (was $5.29), Coffee Mate Natural Bliss Sweet Cream Creamer (32 fluid ounces) now $4.99 (was $5.29, and Purina Tidy Cats Litter (25 pounds) now $7.79 (was $8.59).
Along with this price cut, Target announced that more than half of its holiday toys will be under $20. I can just hear parents, aunts, uncles, and everyone else with presents to buy for kids breathing a sigh of relief.
Are Other Retailers Cutting Their Prices?
According to CNN, other major retailers, like Walgreens, IKEA and Aldi, have also shared they will be reducing their prices this holiday season.
So no matter what you’re in need of purchasing — holiday decor, Christmas gifts, or day-to-day essentials — this may be a great time to do so. I know I’ll be taking advantage of this price cut!
