Who needs a reason to buy cool new kitchen stuff? No worries: Target recently launched some “Nightmare Before Christmas” kitchen items. It’s almost like we’ve traveled through some of sort of portal and wound up in another season, but nope: apparently, Target just wanted to give us a jump on purchasing holiday decor. In the spirit of early preparation, let’s take a look at the line inspired by Tim Burton’s 1993 film.

It looks like the preorders have already sold out, but pieces are available on August 22.

Some superstitious folks believe that tossing a bit of salt over your shoulder helps to ward off bad spirits, so it couldn’t hurt to use these Jack Skellington and Sally salt and pepper shakers for an added layer of protection.

This Jack Skellington ceramic mug sculpted after Pumpkin King’s face is delightfully creepy but we kind of wouldn’t want to stumble upon it sitting on the kitchen counter in the dark.

There’s also a mug made in Sally’s blue-faced, wide-eyed likeness that’s (slightly) less scary. The Jack and Sally mugs can be purchased separately or as a set. Personally, we prefer our stitch-faced lovers to stay together all times, but to each his own.

This news comes after the retailer recently announced its Hyde and Eek Halloween collections for 2019. This year’s products include a disco ball skull, studded pumpkins, creepy terrariums, and even a light up corgi in a bee costume.
