You might think that desserts are one of the best parts about a Thanksgiving meal, but if you ask Brunch with Babs, it’s actually the dessert containers that can be the heroes of the holiday.

According to creator Barbara “Babs” Costello — known for giving her 1.8 million Instagram followers kitchen hacks galore — sending your guests home with leftovers in disposable cupcake or muffin tins is the best Thanksgiving Day hack around. And truthfully, I’m surprised I wasn’t doing this sooner.

As Babs revealed, all you need to do is set up a to-go leftover station and let guests serve themselves, placing scoops of all the goodies into each of the individual empty cupcake/muffin cups. This ensures everyone gets the perfect serving size of everything on the menu. Bonus: The cranberry sauce doesn’t run into the stuffing. And as one follower replied, “As a girl who doesn’t like my different foods to touch, this tip warms my heart in every way.”

The best part about this hack is that your guests will be able to pop their leftovers right in the oven the next day (after removing the plastic lid, of course)!

This isn’t the first time this internet mom/grandma has saved us in the kitchen. Another recent post of hers that tackles how to load the dishwasher properly might just save us some time in the kitchen. Because if there’s one thing you can be thankful for on Thanksgiving, it’s the dishwasher.

If you don’t mind all of your leftovers mixing and mingling, try this Thanksgiving leftover pot pie.
