The Bouqs, a plant parent favorite delivery service, has a new collection that benefits a good cause. The floral company teamed up with celebrity florist Maurice Harris for a new collection of bouquets called United With Flowers. All net profits from the collection—a range of three vibrant and bold bouquets—will benefit Campaign Zero, a non-profit that works to provide research-based policy solutions to end police brutality.

Kaylyn Hewitt, The Bouqs’ lead florist, cited the desire to spotlight Black florists in the wake of George Floyd’s death as the inspiration behind United With Flowers. “We had a lot of very transparent and vulnerable conversations back in June within the company just after the George Floyd killing,” Hewitt explained to People. “That was the catalyst to thinking through not only our vendors, but just the Black experience in the floral industry.”

Hewitt then decided to create a collection that would “bring joy and celebrate Black joy in tandem with flowers”—one that would also have an impact and create actual change. Enter: Harris, the founder of Bloom & Plume and a celebrity florist whose résumé includes floral work in Beyoncé’s visual album “Black is King” and HBO Max’s floral competition series “Full Bloom.”

The results? Brenda Bloom, Cassandra, and Melissa Mellow, florals that retail at $69 each and feature yellow roses, heliconias, and delphiniums. (Three additional United With Flowers bouquets will launch in 2021.) “What I think is really important about this project is, it’s about looking at opportunity and equality,” Harris told People of the collection. “It’s not about exclusion, it’s lifting voices that don’t often get to be heard or seen.”
