When you want a chic, decorative accent table for your bedroom or living room, you could shell out hundreds of bucks at the furniture store of your choice. Or you could follow the lead of TikTok user @easyinterieur, who created side tables for her bedroom in a matter of minutes using plastic plates, bowls, hot glue, and some spray paint.

Melike, the Berlin-based influencer and lifestyle guru behind Easy Interieur, shared the process behind her DIY side tables. She used a hot glue gun to attach the bottoms and tops of a few bowls to one another. She then attached a plate to the top bowl to create a tall side table and a short side table by including two fewer bowls for the shorter table.

She then coated her new creations with gold spray paint, though the possibilities are endless for how you could decorate your own. If you bought bowls and plates that fit your decor scheme, you could skip this step and show off your new decorative tables within minutes. Of course, it’s worth noting that these probably aren’t the sturdiest pieces of furniture you’ll own, so you’ll want to exercise caution when moving them or storing items on top of them.

Melike’s video has gone viral on TikTok and on Instagram, amassing nearly 24 million views on TikTok and more than 60,000 likes on Instagram. And with thousands of comments on each platform praising this easy, DIY creation, it’s clear that you don’t always have to break the bank to snag stylish statement pieces for any room in your house.
