If you’ve ever been curious about what it would be like to live in a tiny house, but aren’t ready to give up your normal-sized house just yet, we’ve got good news for you. In a number of locations across the country, from New York to California, you can find tiny houses that are available to rent for vacations or weekend getaways, so you can try tiny house living on for size. At undisclosed locations in the woods outside New York, Boston, and D.C., you’ll find Getaway, a grouping of rustic tiny houses that are available to rent as a retreat from the city. The sites are isolated, the designs are minimal-modern, and the views look incredible.

Oregon’s Mt. Hood Village RV Resort is home to the Mt. Hood Tiny House Village, a grouping of five different tiny houses, each with its own picnic table and grill. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, so you can enjoy a little nature while trying a smaller house on for size.
