As travel continues to bounce back after a few years of pandemic-related setbacks, it’s no surprise that plenty of Americans are itching to put their passports to good use. Not sure where to travel? Don’t worry — Airbnb has you covered.

 In a recent report, the vacation rental platform revealed the 10 top-trending travel spots for 2023 international travel, analyzing searches made for future 2023 check-ins.

First place goes to Málaga, Spain, which is known for its amazing beaches and delicious cuisine. Since Spain just announced a digital nomad visa for international remote workers, you could even potentially call the 3,000-year-old city home in the near future!

Sydney, Australia comes in second place. The city is home to the world-famous Sydney Opera House, as well as charming oceanfront destinations like Bondi Beach and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. 

Sydney was one of three Australian locations that made Airbnb’s 2023 list. In fact, third place went to Melbourne, Australia. The coastal city is home to all things trendy, from its eclectic nightclubs to its thriving arts scene.

Airbnb also compiled a list of the most popular global destinations that guests searched for in 2022, which also included plenty of cities in Australia, Brazil, and New Zealand.
