These Trader Joe’s Cat Planters Look Super Expensive
It’s unclear how Trader Joe’s does it, but the grocery store seems to give us new adorable planters on a weekly basis. Shoppers and houseplant addicts are running out of shelf space. But you’ll definitely find room in your collection for Trader Joe’s latest planter drop — it’s an adorable cat planter that looks much more expensive than it is.
“Okay, I haven’t seen anything this adorable in awhile at Trader Joe’s, and I wouldn’t even say I’m a ‘cat person!’” @Trader.Joes.Plants wrote on Instagram on Feb. 10. “They come in black too, though already sold out at my local store. They are going very fast — get them while [they’re] in stock!”
They also come in white, too!
This cat planter design, with its blocky features and geometric patterning, looks handmade. They’re even a bit similar to the mid-century-era designs from the famous ceramist Lisa Larson, who specialized in clay animals. But unlike a designer piece, these cat planters are selling for just $8.99 and you get two succulent plants in each one.
And just like most Trader Joe’s succulent planters, the succulents are pretty random and will likely differ from store to store. However, most succulents require the similar care regimens — infrequent watering, plenty of sun, and make sure your pots have good drainage holes.
So make some room on your succulent shelf for a shiny new planter from Trader Joe’s. The hardest decision you’ll have to make about picking one of these cats up is which color to choose.
