You know it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas when Grump Trees return to Trader Joe’s, and today is that day. Grump Trees — mini lemon cypress trees that have been decorated to look like something out of “The Grinch” (or the Grinch himself) — are back at Trader Joe’s locations nationwide for just $9.99. And they’re not the only exciting piece of Christmas decor TJ’s has to offer early this year.

“Grump Trees and more are here!!!” Instagram account @TraderJoesObsessed wrote on November 17. “I’m never able to keep them alive any tips?”

Lemon cypress trees love a sunny spot in the house (they need about six to eight hours of direct sunlight per day) and only require water when the top one or two inches of the plant’s soil is dry to the touch.

TJ’s also brought back the DIY pine tree, which is basically a kit that lets you decorate a mini Christmas tree using included LED lights and ornaments, as well as its glitter pine trees that look like they’ve been kissed by a sugarplum fairy.

But shoppers are really getting excited about the felted wool garlands and wreaths, the latter of which are new to Trader Joe’s this year.

You can pick up both the garlands and wreaths in a variety of different colorways, all hand felted in Nepal with 100 percent New Zealand wool. And yes, you can definitely decorate your Grump Tree with the mini wool garlands — in fact, you definitely should.

Head to your local Trader Joe’s sooner than later to get yourself in the holiday spirit.
